This is a quick and easy way to generate data in a HBase table.
First create your table in HBase shell :
create 't1', 'f1'
Then edit a hbase_load.txt file
cat hbase_load.txt
for i in '1'..'10' do \
for j in '1'..'10' do \
for k in '1'..'10' do \
rnd=(0...64).map { (65 + rand(26)).chr }.join
put 't1', "#{i}-#{j}-#{k}", "f1:#{j}#{k}", "#{rnd}"
end \
end \
end
And generate 1000 rows :
cat hbase_load.txt |hbase shell
